When doing renovation work around your home there aren't many better feelings than pulling up an old worn carpet to find a lovely wooden floor waiting for you beneath. However in most cases these floor boards will be in need of some TLC to bring them up to a presentable and aesthetically pleasing place.

Can my floor boards be restored?

Almost always your floor boards will be in a position to be restored, what can vary however is how much work may be required to restore them and the level to which they can be restored. What is the process?

However the fundamental process remains the same, the floor is prepped, sanded and refinished typically with an oil.

Typically this process will cost between £30-£50 per square metre, largely depending on the volume of floor to be completed, the level of work required to achieve your desired finish. It is best to get a contractor out to review the flooring, discuss your desired flooring finish and have a unique quote provided.
